Visually, the soap is a pristine, artificial pink, packaged beautifully to mask its grotesque origin. This represents the ultimate capitalist alchemy: turning waste and self-loathing into a luxury commodity. Furthermore, soap is chemically linked to destruction; as Tyler notes, the by-product of soap-making is glycerin, which can be mixed with nitric acid and sawdust to make dynamite.
